Current Research
A new research initiative launching in Fall 2024 investigates the impact of entrepreneurial assignments on student collaboration and critical thinking skills. In partnership with co-researcher Dr. Alex Evangelista, this study will implement interventions in health education and marketing classes - disciplines without direct entrepreneurial focus. The project will continue through Spring 2026, with intermediate data analysis and initial publication planned for Spring 2025.
Since 2017, Dr. Snipes' longitudinal research has examined the effects of mindfulness practices in business education, specifically measuring impacts on empathy and self-efficacy. The integration of the Citizen Entrepreneur Explorers Program (CEEP) into this research framework has demonstrated significant improvements in both empathy and self-efficacy scores, highlighting the effectiveness of community-centered experiential education approaches.
Upcoming publications:
  • Enhanced Self-efficacy Through Mindfulness Practices in Business Education: A Longitudinal Study
  • Community Impact and Student Development: Outcomes of the CEEP Framework in Business Education (Initial research presentation at Oxford, Summer 2024)
  • Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom: A Meta-analysis of Learning Impacts and Outcomes
